Habitat League of Romania (The League of Homeowners Associations Habitat) is an non-profit federation of home owners and tenant associations. Taking into account the the social and economical difficult background of Romania (especially after the communist period), our organisations is providing counselling on paths of association and sustainable development of local communities.

The leading of Habitat league is constitute by:

• President: Mr. Mihai Mereuta;

  Mr. Mihai Mereuta is the President of the this NGO since 2003 (elected by the representatives of 35 county branches). He is in charge with the representation of this League in the relations with internal and international institutions or organisations (Association of Energy Specialists of Romania, Romanian Committee of the World Committee of Energy, Interministerial Committee for Market and Services, Trade and Industry Chamber of Romania, consultative committees formed by the regulation authorities, International Union of Tenants, UN-CEE). He graduated the Mathematics Faculty of the Bucharest University and several certificated trainings in project management, condominium management, public relations and communication. He cooperated with the World Bank, USAID, UNDP for providing information and assessment on housing situation in my country. He was project managers for several programmes financed through Phare grant schemes and he have organised training courses on condominium management within the National Institute for Administration (courses attended by the actual and future condominium managers).
